English Book Club: Pip Williams – The Dictionary of Lost Words

In 1901, a word was discovered missing from the Oxford English Dictionary. This is the story of the girl who stole it. Esme spends her childhood in the ‘Scriptorium’ where her father’s team is collecting words. Esme herself begins to collect misplaced, discarded, or neglected words.
